Get Set to Go is a programme that aims to improve the quality of life for anyone with a mental health problem through access to sport and physical activity in their local community. This VIDEO explains more about the programme in detail.
The programme in Warwickshire is coordinated by the charity organisation, Springfield Mind.
Pharmacies can refer patients to attend taster sessions, which are followed by a 12-week scheme for individuals to enjoy so that they feel confident and comfortable to continue participation following the end of the scheme. The taster sessions and the 12-week follow-up programme is free for all participants.
There is no formal referral process – pharmacies or the participants themselves are requested to contact the coordinator, Hayley Noel (email: firstname.lastname@example.org, Tel: 01789 298615, Mobile: 07885812791) so she can signpost people and manage numbers at each taster session.
The next taster sessions will take place in Rugby on the 9th and 12th August. You can find the flyer HERE.
Pharmacies and participants are welcome to contact Hayley to find out more about upcoming taster sessions in their area. We think pharmacies currently taking part in the SMI intervention pilot in particular will be interested in this scheme. Please do not hesitate to contact Hayley for more information!
